3 Easy Ways to Make Money Online

by Marcel 12 May 2011

Making a little extra cash, or even starting a home-based business, has never been easier than it is today. All you need is a computer and access to the internet. Here are 3 ways to make money online.

  1. EBay
If you want to make money on eBay, you will need to open a seller account. The most important thing is to build a good feedback rating; nobody wants to take the risk of buying from a seller with a low rating. To give your initial ratings a boost, clear out all your old junk and put it on eBay to sell; make sure you are honest in your product descriptions, and send all sold items out as soon as possible. Assuming that you don’t run into any problems with awkward customers, this should earn you a nice feedback rating which will help to gain the trust of future customers. Once you have a respectable rating, you can open your eBay shop and start selling.
  2. Etsy
If you can paint a picture, make a teddy bear, or build a pretty gift box, you can make money on Etsy. Etsy allow members to sell their handmade goods; almost anything that you make by hand can be sold through their website. They also have a section for selling vintage goods; these must be over 20 years old, but you don’t have to make them yourself. If you enjoy trailing around charity shops, flea markets, and antiques shops, you can find vintage bargains to sell on Etsy.
  3. Blogs
Blogs can generate a steady source of income, if you’re prepared to put in the work. As a general rule, you want to find a niche market that is not already oversaturated. Avoid creating a blog that is too general, as there is likely to be a lot of competition. You will need to choose your keywords, or keyphrases, carefully; use the Google keyword tool to research possible keywords and phrases. Once your blog is up-and-running and receiving visitors, you can use it to gain revenue from advertisements.
